Fuck yeah, dressing gowns.
Sitting here at 6am, I’m starting to feel that dressing gowns are severly underrated. Here’s a few reasons why they rule:
- Say you’ve gotten up a little late (4 in the afternoon, or even later). Assuming you’re not planning on going outside that day, it’s too late to consider getting dressed properly. But you can’t just strut around in your underwear, can you? Simply slip into a dressing gown, and the problems solved.
- Likewise, if the weather’s too hot, a dressing gown is a perfectly acceptable substitute for real clothes.
- And if it’s a cold day, a dressing works perfectly as an extra layer. Not only are you kept warm, you’re saving on the gas bill too. Incredible!
- Smoking jackets look classy. But a smoking jacket is just a dressing gown with a trust fund. Therefore, a dressing gown could classy if it tried, and people gave it a chance.
Okay, so that last one is a little convulted. Anyone else care to add to the list?
